Shel Talmy surprises everyone by putting the original three-track tapes he produced with The Who in 1965 on auction at ebay.com. The opening bid is $500,000 with a reserve price of $1 million. It fails to get any bids but begins the process that ultimately leads to the release of My Generation: Deluxe Edition, mixed from the tapes, in 2002.
