Pete Townshend's daughter Emma pens an article for the Times about England's untended musical heritage from the 1960's and 1970's. "Pop music was one of Britain's most important contributions to the cultural life of the 20th century. And yet it looks as if the French, whose pop music is generally rubbish, are doing a better job than us."
